Cookie switches explained
Paid links, said up front This site contains affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you follow a link and make a booking/purchase or download, at no extra cost to you. · NexaPoints route desk
One cookie the site needs, two it can live without, and where to change your mind.
Small files, plainly explained
Think of a cookie, or its cousin the local-storage entry, as a short note a website tucks into your browser. NexaPoints needs exactly one to work; the rest sit idle unless you switch them on.
The three kinds on NexaPoints
| Kind | Purpose | Default | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Necessary | Keeps your answer to the cookie panel and lets the pages run | On, cannot be turned off | One year |
| Analytics | Tallies which stops and pages get opened, without naming you | Off by default | Twenty-six months at most |
| Advertising / affiliate | Passes a referral partner the fact that a booking began here | Off by default; forced off by GPC | Partner-set, typically one to three months |
Flipping a switch later
Press here or in the footer of every NexaPoints page, move the switches, then store your settings. Deleting NexaPoints data in your browser settings wipes the choice too, and the bar comes back on your next visit.
When your browser sends GPC
With Global Privacy Control turned on in your browser, the advertising and affiliate category is held off on every page, no matter what the panel shows.
